Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

MotoLoadout is operated by Cotheria LLC d/b/a MotoLoadout, from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. This policy describes what the site actually stores, why, and how to get rid of it. It describes current behaviour rather than every future possibility — if that changes, this page changes with it.

What we collect

Your account. An email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider, Supabase. We never see your password — it is hashed before it reaches storage. You also choose a username, which is public.

What you create. Builds, the parts in them, favourites, part reviews, forum topics and replies, and any photos you upload. Your builds are private until you mark one public. Favourites are always private. Reviews, forum posts, and public builds are visible to anyone.

Images. Uploads go to Supabase Storage. Anything attached to a public build or a review is publicly readable by design — that is what publishing it means. Strip any metadata you would rather not share before uploading; we do not do it for you.

Technical data. Our host, Vercel, records ordinary server logs — IP address, browser, and which page was requested — for security and reliability. We do not build profiles from them.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your real name, address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details. MotoLoadout never processes a payment: every purchase happens on the merchant’s own site, under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.

Analytics

We do not currently run analytics of any kind. There is no analytics package in this site, no third-party measurement script, and nothing recording your visit beyond the ordinary server logs any website produces. We say so plainly because it is easy to write a privacy policy describing practices a site does not actually have.

If we add measurement later it will be a privacy-preserving, cookieless product, and it would collect the ordinary things such a tool collects: which pages were viewed, the site you arrived from, approximate location no more precise than country or region, and general device and browser type. It would set no cookies, would not follow you between sites, and would not attempt to identify you.

The same applies to error monitoring, if we add it — that records what broke and on which page, not who you are. We will name any such service on this page before it starts running, and we will not add one that builds an advertising profile of you.

That is why this site has no cookie banner: the only cookies present are the ones that keep you signed in.

How we use AI

Building the catalogue is partly automated. We gather product and fitment information from manufacturer and retailer websites, and an automated reviewer reads those pages to propose what should be published — which part something is, which motorcycles it fits, and what it costs. Those proposals must pass checks that involve no AI at all, and clear a confidence threshold, before anything reaches the site. A person can override any of it.

This does not read your personal data. The automated reviewer reads merchant web pages and our own catalogue records. It has no access to your account, your private builds, or your favourites.

What it may read is anything you contribute to the catalogue itself. There is no way to do that today — parts and fitment are added only by us — but if we add one, a part you submit or a fitment correction you send is information about a product rather than about you, and it would be checked by the same automated review as everything else before it was published. Publicly posted content, such as a part review, may likewise be assessed for accuracy or abuse if we introduce that.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell or share it for anyone else to do so. What you write on MotoLoadout stays on MotoLoadout.

Links to merchants

Parts link out to shops that sell them. Some of those links may earn us a commission (see our Terms of Service). When you follow one, the merchant or their affiliate network may set their own cookies to attribute the visit. That happens on their side, under their policies. It costs you nothing and never changes the price you pay.

Who else can see it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. It reaches only the services needed to run the site: Supabase (database, authentication, image storage) and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data on our instructions.

We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

How long we keep it

Your content stays until you delete it or close your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, builds, favourites, and reviews. Forum posts may remain with your name detached, so that conversations others took part in do not collapse into gaps.

Your choices

You can edit or delete anything you have posted at any time. To get a copy of your data, or to have your account deleted outright, email privacy@motoloadout.com from your account address. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Email us and we will honour them — we would rather apply the strongest standard to everyone than sort users into tiers.

Children

MotoLoadout is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we delete any such account we learn about.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access is restricted at the database level so one account cannot read another account’s private data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — use a password you do not reuse elsewhere.

Found a vulnerability? Report it to security@motoloadout.com. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell account holders directly rather than relying on you to re-read the page.
