How fitment works here, where the data comes from, and what the site does and does not claim to know.
What do the fitment labels mean?
Direct fit — the part is sold for your exact model and year and is intended to bolt on with no modification.
Requires modification — it can be made to work, but something has to change: cutting, drilling, a bracket, a spacer, extra hardware, or wiring. Treat this as a project, not a purchase.
Not compatible — recorded deliberately. It is often more useful to know a popular part doesn’tfit than to find nothing and wonder whether we simply hadn’t checked.
What does the confidence level mean?
Verified is reserved for fitment a person confirmed. Likely means it came from a manufacturer or retailer catalogue and looks right, but nobody here has confirmed it. Unconfirmed means the source stated a model but not the years, so we have matched what we could and are telling you so.
A machine never marks anything “verified”. That word only appears when a human put it there.
Where does your fitment data come from?
Manufacturer catalogues, retailer product data, and published fitment listings — collected automatically, then reviewed by a person before anything appears on the site. Nothing goes live straight from a machine.
We do not physically test parts on motorcycles. That is the honest limit of what we know, and it is why the Terms ask you to confirm fitment with the manufacturer or a mechanic before buying or installing.
I found wrong fitment. What do I do?
Tell us — this is the most valuable message you can send. Email support@motoloadout.com with the part and your exact bike, or post it in Fitment Questions. A fitment error that reaches a rider is the worst thing this site can do, and corrections are treated as urgent.
Why does one part show different prices for different bikes?
Because it genuinely costs different amounts. A rearset kit sold as one product line is really a different part number per motorcycle, and the prices can differ substantially. Where we know the price for your specific bike, that is what you see. Where we only know the range, the page says so rather than quietly showing you the cheapest one.
Why is a price out of date?
Prices are recorded when we last read the merchant’s page, not live at the moment you look. Treat everything here as an indication and the merchant’s checkout as the only real number. Build totals are for planning, not for budgeting to the dollar.
My motorcycle isn’t listed
Email us and we will add it. Bikes are added deliberately rather than imported wholesale, because a motorcycle in the list with no fitment behind it is worse than one that is honestly absent.
Who can see my build?
Builds are private until you make one public. Favourites are always private and never shown to anyone. Reviews, forum posts, and public builds carry your username.
Do you sell parts?
No. We never take payment, hold stock, or handle returns. Every purchase happens on the merchant’s own site under their terms.
How do you make money?
Some outbound links earn a commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. It has no influence on what we list, how parts are ranked, or what fitment rating anything gets — and merchants cannot pay for placement. Full detail in the Terms.
Will you tell me which exhaust to buy?
No — and that is deliberate. We are riders, not mechanics or tuners, so we show you what fits, what it costs, and what other people with your exact bike actually chose. The judgement stays yours, informed by riders who have already done it rather than by us guessing.
