Code of Conduct

MotoLoadout exists so riders can compare what they have actually built and share what actually worked. That only functions if people are straight with each other. These rules are part of our Terms of Service.

Be useful

Say what you ride, what you fitted, and what happened. “Fitted the SC Project on my R9, needed a tune to clear a lean code” helps someone. “Get a real exhaust” helps nobody.

Be honest about fitment

This is the one that matters most. If you report a part fits, you are influencing what someone else spends money on and bolts to a machine they ride at speed. Say whether you fitted it yourself, whether it needed modification, and what your exact model and year is. If you are guessing, say you are guessing.

Reviews must be real

Review only parts you have actually owned or fitted. Do not review your own products, competitors’ products, or anything you were paid or given free to write about. If you have any commercial relationship with a brand, disclose it in the review itself.

No harassment

No personal attacks, slurs, or hostility toward anyone based on who they are. No sexual content. No threats. Disagree with the build, not the person riding it.

Riders come to this hobby with wildly different budgets, skill levels, and taste. Someone’s first bike with cheap bar ends is as welcome here as a fully specced track build.

No spam or self-promotion

No affiliate links, referral codes, or link dropping. If you sell parts or run a shop, you are welcome to take part as a rider — say who you are and do not use the forums as advertising.

Post what is yours

Upload your own photos. Do not repost someone else’s build pictures as your own. Do not share anyone’s personal information, including your own — no addresses, plates, or phone numbers in photos.

Safety and legality

Do not encourage anyone to defeat safety equipment or to ride a machine you know to be unsafe. Emissions and noise rules differ by state and country; discussing what is legal where you are is fine, coaching people on evading inspection is not.

Nothing illegal

No stolen parts, counterfeit goods, or content that breaks the law.

How this is enforced

We remove content that breaks these rules. Repeated or serious breaches — fake reviews, harassment, knowingly false fitment claims — mean losing your account. We would rather explain a decision than issue a silent ban, so we will tell you why unless doing so would be unsafe.
